Dojo Etiquette
Cel phones must be turned off or vibrate mode only for visitors / students and quietly leave the room to use your phone, no talking.
No drinks or food allowed inside the training room.
Students must bow to the front when entering and leaving.
The objective for all students must be learning to blend with attacks from one or more attacker with proper movement, flow and control / throw the attacker without being forceful, remember that if you use force, a trained person can use it against you. As an aikido practitioner, you must learn to stay centered, break the opponent's center, use the energy from their attack and not to give energy to an attacker to be used against you.
Students should not talk to each other, make comments to other students or the Sensei ( teacher ) during training.
Please keep your questions till the end of training or only when the Sensei asks if there are any questions, do not ask the teacher if you are doing the technique wright or wrong, do not say ha, aha, um, .... , ? when you are addressed.
Please address the teacher as Sensei or sir and also your training partners as sir /Mam if need so.
Mastery of Aikido is to achieve the proper state of non linear movement ( flow ) and becoming more and more centered which is only achieved by regular proper training. Aikido is not using physical strength and linear movements. Using physical size / strength to perform a technique to subdue an attacker is not Aikido, students must keep this in mind at all times during their training.
Do not wear any watches, necklace, rings ( small wedding rings ok ), bracelet, and ....
